I have used all the %26quot;waterproofing%26quot; substances and they don%26#039;t really work.

What did work was good , old vegetable oil. You probalby have it in your cabinet at home.

Any oil will repel water. Just use it around the seams of the boot.

Good Luck
Reply:the best waterproofing is to simply buy gortex boots, but for your leather the best thing that I%26#039;ve found is LP Obenaufs, waterproofs and keeps leather looking new and wont rot the the seams like some animal fat based products. it really does an awesome job of preserving leather far better than anything I%26#039;ve ever used and they also have a waterproofing product that I%26#039;ve never tried.

Their product is also branded and sold for browning, carolina, and redwing boot makers.

Reply:I have the same type of boots. I like to use Mink Oil. I smear on a thick layer, then melt it with a hair dryer so it soaks in, then wipe off the excess. This WILL make a mess though, so don%26#039;t do it on the dining room table, or over that nice new carpet. But doing this to my boots has kept them looking good for the last 10 years, almost time for new soles.
