Leather boots that won't zip up?

Does anyone else have the problem that leather boots wont zip up all the way? Not just leather ones but any that are higher than the ankle? My friend works in a shoe shop and she said about 50% of people have this problem (me included) I%26#039;d really like to be able to wear boots in the colder weather but I am yet to find some that zip up, does anyone know of any stores/brands that fit? (I%26#039;m in Australia) Do other people have this problem?

Leather boots that won%26#039;t zip up?
i guess the person who first answered didn%26#039;t realize your in australia and you%26#039;re already in the cold season because it is hot as hell in America...have you tried Aldo Shoes or aldoshoes.com??? I have the same problem as well and always find it easy to find leather boots that just slips in without the zipper. It%26#039;s usually the leather and suede material boots that comes in as a slip in boot.
Reply:If you go onto places like www.zappos.com, they give the exact measurement of the boot shaft, so you know if it will zip around your calf. They actually have a category of boots with a wider shaft.

I actually think boot shafts have gotten narrower in the past few years. My best friend is model-thin, with itty bitty calves, and it used to be she could not even hold up a knee high boot. Now, she either fills out the boot, or can%26#039;t get it to zip.

Google %26quot;plus size boots%26quot; You%26#039;ll find some stretch ones; I found a great leather pair with a gusset (a stretchy leather insert on the inside of the calf) at www.avenue.com.

Good luck and happy shopping. (p.s. it might be better to put this off until the fall, when all the newest, latest and greatest will be back in stock)
