How to store leather boots?

Well, i just bought this pair of indoor football boots which is made up of leather so how do i store it to prevent it from being bitten by mice or cockroaches or turn moldy(cuz after i play in the evening, it might get wet and may cause fungus growth-will it?) cuz the boots has a strong leather smell? Thanks! =)

How to store leather boots?
The main thing to care for leather boots is to keep the dirt off of them. Clean them with saddle soap when you get home in the evening. The mold will not be a problem if you powder you feet before you wear them. To prevent pests from getting onto or into your boots hang them from a peg. You can also make a small pouch from an old sock and put some mothballs inside then tie it to the outside of your boots, never inside or your boots will smell like mothballs. All pests hate mothballs, even rodents. The saddle soap contains everything your leather needs. Don%26#039;t waste your money on other products.
Reply:I store my leather boots on a shelf in the garage. They do just fine there year round.

If you are concerned about rodents and pest, that is a different subject and you should exterminate them.
Reply:Perhaps they would be best stored in a cool place (shed etc.) as fungus cannot grow in the cold and mice do not like the cold so i think your new boots would be pretty safe. Alternatively just never put them down!!!
Reply:I would use gold bond powder in the shoes after each use. It can be found in any drug store or walmart. Make sure you let the shoes air out be for you store them so excess moisture can evaporate. The powder will help eliminate fungus and Oder, use a little mink oil or Polish on the exterior leather to keep it in good shape.
